Steve is a long time resident of Victoria, and has been in the investment industry for almost 20 years. Before joining Christie Phoenix to head their Wealth Management Division, Steve worked as an Investment Counselor for one of the largest banks in the world where he assisted high net worth clients manage and protect their assets. His experience also includes working at Canada’s largest financial planning company. In addition to serving individuals and small companies, Steve also acted as a Division Manager for twelve years. In that capacity, he was asked to train and develop the skills of hundreds of new advisors from all parts of Canada. Before entering the investment profession, Steve worked for the federal government in accounting, where he was able to develop a strong understanding of the Canadian tax system- a skill set that is unique and has proven invaluable to some of his clients!
When he is not working helping clients with their financial matters, you can usually find him spending quality time with his wife and four children. He also spends a considerable amount time working in his community on a variety boards which have included the Victoria Symphony, BC Childrens Hospital, and St. Patricks School Board, amongst others. Steve has also been a long time hockey and basketball coach for many young athletes of Victoria.
